Preliminary Itinerary​

Thursday, Dec 5

• Arrival: Arrive in Washington, D.C., at your leisure.

• Evening:

  • 6:30 p.m.: Introductions and drawing names for the wreath ceremony participants in the hotel lobby.

  • Dinner: We will go out to eat in groups.

Friday, Dec 6

• Morning:

  • Breakfast: 6:30—7:15 a.m. at the hotel.

  • 7:15 a.m.: Motorcoach departs for Arlington National Cemetery.

  • 8:00 a.m.: Arrive at Arlington National Cemetery.

  • 8:15 a.m.: Trolley Tour of Cemetery, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

  • 9:15 a.m.: Public Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by our Grand Master and three Brothers chosen by lottery.

  • After the ceremony: Continue the Trolley Tour.

  • Reboard Motorcoach.

• Midday:

  • Activities and lunch are being planned.

• Afternoon and Evening:

  • After 4:00 p.m.: Arrive at the House of the Temple for a short tour.

  • Tyled meeting in one of the Lodge rooms (Florida Work with dispensation) with presentations.

  • Catered banquet/buffet in the George Washington Dining Room.

  • After dinner: Motorcoach tour of Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean Memorials, and The Iwo Jima Memorial.

  • Return to hotel.

  Note: The evening itinerary may change based on weather or additional monument visits.

• Attire: Suit and tie/business attire.

• Cost: The total cost for Friday should be between $175.00 and $200.00 per Brother.

Saturday, Dec 7

• Morning:

  • Breakfast at the hotel: 7:30 a.m.

  • Free time.

• Afternoon:

  • 2:15 p.m.: Board Motorcoach to Potomac Lodge No.5.

  • 3:00 p.m.: Reception at Potomac Lodge No.5.

  • 4:00 p.m.: Installation of Lodge Officers at Potomac Lodge No.5 in Georgetown.

  Note: A ticketed Holiday Party is available after the installation. When available, an updated flyer will send a link to purchase tickets.

• Attire: DDGM, PDDGM GL Tux, otherwise business attire.

 

Sunday or Monday

• Departure: Return home at your will and pleasure.

Note: A new flyer with payment instructions will be sent once the committee finalizes the cost.
